As already notified, the revised CAIIB Examination is structured as 2 compulsory papers and 11 elective papers as given below.

  • Objective:  To provide advanced knowledge in banking and financial systems for better decision - making.
  • Level: At par with Post - Graduation from any University in India.
  • Question Pattern: Objective type.
  • Eligibility: 

1.     Members of the Institute.

2.     Pass in JAIIB.

Pattern of examination
Questions for the JAIIB / CAIIB Examination will be asked calling for:

  • Knowledge testing
  • Conceptual grasp
  • Analytical / logical exposition
  • Problem solving
  • Case analysis

Further, questions based on current developments in banking and finance may be asked. Candidates are advised to refer to financial news papers / periodicals including ‘‘IIB VISION’’ and ‘‘Bank Quest’’ published by the Institute.

JAIIB

  • The JAIIB Examination will be of fully objective type (multiple choice) questions. Case study based questions may be asked.
  • About 120 questions per subject will be asked for the duration of two hours. The Institute may, however, vary the number of questions to be asked for a subject.
  • Each question paper will carry 100 marks.
     

CAIIB

  • The CAIIB Examination will be of fully objective type (multiple choice) questions. Case study based questions may be asked.
  • About 90 questions per subject will be asked for the duration of two hours. The Institute may, however, vary the number of questions to be asked for a subject.
  • Each question paper will carry 100 marks.
     

Examination fees
The fees payable by members for appearing at the examination centres in India for the Associate Examination.
